Author Guidelines

Manuscripts Submission

Manuscripts submitted to Pro Film Jurnal must be original research papers that contribute significantly to the fields of photography, television, and animation. Authors should submit their papers electronically via the Pro Film Jurnal online submission system. The corresponding author must provide a statement confirming that the manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines will not be considered by the editors.

Manuscript Structure

Title

  • The title should be clear, concise, and informative, with a length of 12-15 words.

Author Names and Affiliations

  • Each author's name should be accompanied by their institutional affiliation and email address, without academic titles.

  • For joint papers, one author should be designated as the corresponding author.

Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract should be between 150-200 words and must be provided in both English and Indonesian.

  • Keywords should consist of 3 to 5 words or phrases, written in alphabetical order.

Introduction

  • This section should provide background information, a review of relevant literature, research objectives, and the significance and novelty of the study.

Methods

  • Describe the research methods, including analytical tools, data sources, and procedures used.

Results and Discussion

  • Present findings clearly and concisely, discussing their relevance to the fields of photography, television, and animation.

  • Highlight the novelty and contributions of the study.

Conclusion

  • Summarize the key findings and discuss policy implications, if any, ensuring consistency with the discussion in the manuscript.

References

  • List only the works cited in the manuscript, following APA (American Psychological Association) referencing style.

General Writing Format

  • Manuscripts should be prepared on A4-sized paper with single line spacing.

  • Use Times New Roman, font size 12, and begin each paragraph 5 characters from the left margin.

  • The manuscript should be between 10 to 15 pages (approximately 5000-7000 words).

  • Margins: 1.5 inches (top) and 0.8 inches (bottom).

  • The title should use capital letters only for the first word and proper nouns, in 14-point font, centered.

  • Subtitles should be in UPPERCASE BOLD, 11-point font, left-aligned.

  • Sub-subtitles should use sentence case, left-aligned.

  • Sub-sub-subtitles should capitalize the first letter of each word except conjunctions, in italics, left-aligned.

Specific Writing Format

  • Equations and formulas should be numbered sequentially as (1), (2), etc., aligned to the right.

  • Results from statistical software should be summarized in tables, not presented directly.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures should be numbered using Arabic numerals.

  • Titles should be placed above tables and below figures.

  • Tables should only include headings and content, with row lines but no column lines.

  • Notes and sources should be included beneath tables and figures where applicable.

Acknowledgment

  • Acknowledgments, if any, should be included as a footnote to the manuscript’s title.

Subjects and Authors Index

  • Authors should provide an index of specific terms used in the manuscript and a list of key authors referenced in the paper.

Citation Style

  • In-text citations should follow the APA format:

    • Example: Fajaruddin (2020) suggests that the objective of depreciation is...

    • Example: Inflation targeting would be sufficient (Hudha, 2017, p. 5).

    • Example: The definition of contagion is ... (Andi, 2018, pp. 5-6; Laksana, 2019).

  • Authors are recommended to use Mendeley for reference management.

References

  • The manuscript should include 20-25 recent and primary references to ensure high-quality contributions.

  • References should strictly follow the APA style.

  • Authors should consult the APA style manual (http://www.apastyle.org/pubmanual.html) for reference formatting.

Manuscript Template

  • The manuscript should be formatted according to the provided MS Word template.

Manuscript Submission Process

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format via the online submission system.

  • A brief biography, including full name, academic title, institution, telephone, and mobile number, should be completed during the online registration process.

Final Decision

Based on the peer review process, the editorial team will notify the authors of the manuscript’s acceptance status, which may fall into one of the following categories:

  1. Accepted without revision

  2. Accepted with minor revision

  3. Accepted with major revision

  4. Rejected
